As you can imagine, we get a lot of enquiries about Castleland’s different spaces, “How big is the room?” being one of the most common, for example.
We decided to try and tackle this issue and hopefully provide an easier way of checking out Castleland’s facilities to gauge suitability for group/activities and allow group leaders or anyone else just itching to see what Castleland looks like from the inside to have a wander 😂
Introducing the “Virtual Tour” …
The tour should work on most modern browsers / devices, but please let us know if you have any issues.
Hover over any of the green icons to learn about what that control does

Ideally we would have liked to include a number of different layouts for each room in the tour, but due to time constraints working around groups running in the centre, it wasn’t possible. Maybe something for the future 😉.
We would like to thank the lovely people at Makerspace for loaning us their 360 camera without which we would not have been able to create the tour.
Makerspace offer access to a variety of different technical hardware:
- 3D Printer
- Cricuit Maker 3
- MAYKU Vacuum Former
- Heat Press
- Laser Cutter
- 360 GoPro
- DSLR Camera
They are currently located in both Barry and Penarth libraries and run a number of workshops for all ages periodically but also invite people to contact them to arrange use of the equipment.
If you are interested in using Makerspace equipment, volunteering with them or just have a general enquiry as to what Makerspace is all about, then you can contact them here
Until next time 🙏.
