Thank You National Lottery

We are extremely pleased to announce that thanks to National Lottery funding we will be able to continue offering and improving our advocacy services alongside Foodshare every Wednesday.

For the past year or so we’ve opened up a multitude of our other spaces to accommodate different advocacy organisations to make it easier for attendees to reach out for support.

We plan to add more Advocacy services that are identified as time goes on based on user feedback and collaborations with local support services. This funding will aid us in that endeavour along with supporting the project as a whole.

There’s a lot that goes into running projects like Foodshare, especially from our dedicated Volunteers who give up their personal time every week to ensure it runs efficiently for attendees.

There are food deliveries that need to be collected and sorted ready for display as well as a lot of administration liaising with food vendors and volunteers. There are also other costs that go into keeping it all running smoothly and we have had assistance from a lot of funders and donations from food vendors over the years which we are extremely grateful for.

With our ever increasing overheads this extremely generous donation will ensure that we can keep the service running to support people during this very difficult “cost of living” period and hopefully improve on expanding support coverage during its operational hours.
