We wanted to give a big shout out to Dai Parker and the Recovery & Aftercare team at CAVDAS for Tidying up our front grassy areas over the summer with the help of their Volunteer workers.
Asides from running free Drug & Alcohol support services in both Cardiff and the Vale (as well as a drop in alongside our very own Foodshare), it turns out there’s also some enthusiastic greenthumbs
This is just one example of some of the Structued Group Support services offered:
We offer a range of structured group support programmes for people at every stage of recovery. These include relapse prevention, a fully participatory and peer-led course designed to help you maintain your recovery, whatever that means for you.
We also run a cognitive behavioural group programme aimed at those who have recently achieved abstinence to support their ongoing recovery, ideal if you’re preparing to move on from formal treatment provision.

The group did a lot of hard work performing a complete cut back on the side panels of the park, a major litter pick of the area and a thorough deweeding all around and I’m sure you can agree it looks far better now.
