Hidden Kitchen in Tesco Bags of Help Scheme!

What are you applying for?

We are one of the lucky 3 charities in the Tesco Bags of Help scheme operating until the 31st October.

With our new Volunteer cook onboard and winter coming we are hoping to be able to produce a wider range of meals for the community but to help us do that we need to improve our kitchen facilities.

Below are the items we are looking to purchase to help speed up the preparation & cooking process so we can produce more meals for everyone:

  • Range Cooker
  • Meat Slicer & Meat Mincer
  • Slow Cooker
  • New Tables & Chairs for sit down meals

What is Tesco Bags of Help?

When you make purchases at participating Tesco stores, you are given blue tokens that are funded by the sale of carrier bags across the UK. This money is then offered to charities to help fund community projects nationwide.

What can I do?

If you support the community work we do as part of our #FareShare project, please spread the word and use your blue tokens for us and encourage others to do the same, that’s all we ask.

Where can I get and use these Tokens?

Voting is open in all Tesco stores during September & October and customers will cast their vote using a token given to them at the check-out in store each time they shop.

More about the Scheme

Funding is available to community groups and charities looking to fund local projects that bring benefits to communities. Anyone can nominate a project and organisations can apply online.

Bags of Help continues to enable local communities up and down Britain to improve the local spaces and places that matter to them. The diversity of projects that are being funded shows that local communities have a passion to create something great in their area. We are pleased to be able to be a part of the journey and provide support and encouragement to help local communities thrive.Groundwork’s National Chief Executive, Graham Duxbury
