Sheila’s Diary #25

Saturday 30 July, 2016

I went along to the Fun Day at Pencoedtre Park it was a great day, with a bouncy castle for the children.

Skittles game, face painting and I had my nails done, there were also cakes and drinks in the church hall.

I met my friend Jane later on and she came along to the park with me.

Later on we went along to the Cadoxton Methodist Church gardens and we sat outside in the garden and had scones with jam and cream, it was nice.

Later on in the evening we went to St. Cadoc’s Church to the evening service and it was a great day.

Sunday 31 July, 2016

I went to Parkside Church it’s the 40th anniversary of the church and it was a nice morning.

Then I went to the Glenbrook Inn for a Sunday dinner, I had chicken, swede, carrots, Yorkshire and gravy it was a lovely meal.

Monday 1st August, 2016

Peter took me along to the Dinas Powis library they gave me an application form for voluntary work, its’s a nice little library.

Tuesday 2nd August, 2016

I went with Carys to Jenny’s hairdressers they coloured my hair, cut and blow dried it, it looks lovely.

I went to Springbank Nursing Home, I had salmon in a sauce, potatoes, carrots, and broccoli for lunch.

Later we all watched a film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers we all enjoyed it.

Wednesday 3rd August, 2016

I went downtown and later on I went to College Fields Nursing Home to the Mad Hatters Tea Party.

It’s a windy day so everyone was in the lounge today.

Thursday 4th August, 2016

I went to Cardiff and had a meal at The Louis Restaurant, cheese, ham and pineapple toasted sandwich with chips and coleslaw.

I went to the New Theatre and paid for my ticket for Sleeping Beauty ballet next week, I am looking forward to seeing it.

Friday 5th August, 2016

I am busy again today typing out my diary at Castleland Community Hall, Barry.
