Summer Programme Week 3 The children from Friday Club and the Castleland Area had loads of fun this week including some educational fun on Monday 18th when they took part in completing their World War One scrapbook ready to show their parents at the WWI Centenary Street Party. The children worked really hard cutting out the pieces of information and the pictures before gluing them into the book, and they learnt all about the Great War. The scrapbook will be available on our website for members of the public to view after 29th August. Tuesday 19th saw many children take part in our indoor games sessions, playing games such as old favourites Ludo and I Spy along with new games such as Pictionary and Give Us A Clue. Thurdsay 21st was host to our Obstacle course for the afternoon with balancing, running and skill games all set up with teams ready to take on the challenge of who will be the 2014 Summer Programme Obstacle Race Champion.
And the winners were: Thursday 21st also saw The Street Games Crew hold their weekly Futsal/multi sport session up on the multi sports court. Keep your eyes open for next weeks activities posted here and on the notice board outside Castleland Community Centre.Tanya Dee
