‘Taster Sessions’ were held at Belvedere Park on the 15th of May which involved planting hanging baskets and making herb boxes for Adult Learner’s Week. People were able to make their own hanging baskets and herb boxes with the equipment supplied courtesy of the Vale Adult Learners Network. A productive and a fun day was had by all attendees, who took advantage of the facilities of Castleland’s Community Café after all their hard work. We received a letter from one of the attendees this week telling us how her Hanging Basket was doing (and reminding me that I hadn’t posted this info, sorry! – Neil): Hi Jean, Sorry it’s been so long, we have been away for a few weeks in France. My hanging basket is great, lots of purple flowers and the fuchsia is ready to flower. Thanks again Jill Tucker We hope to host more community days in the future (weather permitting of course), so if you are interested in getting involved please fill out this form
